Allegiance to Jesus

Jesus told His followers that whoever wanted to follow Him must take up their cross and deny themselves daily. Jesus did exactly that when He died for us, so we can follow in His example. When we think about exactly what He went through, we should be filled with gratitude and that gratitude ultimately leads to our obedience to Him.
