Corruption at Its Worst

Jul 26, 2026    Hilton Jeffreys

Drawing from Revelation 17 and 18, Pastor Hilton explores the concept of Babylon, not merely as an ancient city, but as a timeless symbol of any system, political, economic, or religious, that sets itself against God. From the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11 all the way to the present day, the spirit of human pride and self-sufficiency has risen and fallen and risen again. The rise of ideologies that seek to replace God with human solutions, the normalization of materialism and self-centeredness, the erosion of truth in public discourse, these are not random cultural shifts. They are signs of a season. Just as we recognize spring by the blooming of flowers, we are called to recognize the season we are in by the spiritual and cultural conditions surrounding us. The good news woven throughout this message is that the intensification of these signs does not point toward despair. It points toward the return of Jesus Christ.
